Digital Camera Memory
Options in Memory for Digital Cameras
Digital Camera Memory comes in many shapes and forms depending on the type of
digital camera that you have and the number of pictures that you would like to
store on your digital camera memory. We will explain the many options that
are available in digital camera memory as it is important you choose the right
memory option. All of the digital camera memory listed is incompatible -
that is you can not use one type of memory when the camera or PDA calls for
another. For example, if your camera uses compact flash type 1, then you
can only use compact flash type 1 digital camera memory. You would not be
able to use a memory stick in it's place.
What is digital camera memory?
Digital camera memory is where your digital pictures are
stored. The number of pictures that you can store is dependant on many
factors including the size of your digital camera memory (64 MB, 128 MB, 256 MB,
512 MB, 1 GIG), the resolution of your digital camera - number of megapixels
that your camera captures, the file format that you store your pictures in and
the compression that the manufacturer uses when storing your digital pictures to
memory. As you can see only one of these can be changed without replacing
your camera - replacing your digital camera memory card with a larger capacity
card. The best way to find out exactly how many pictures you can store on
your digital camera memory is to visit the digital camera or PDA manufacturers web site. They
typically will have a chart that shows how many digital pictures you can store
on the different capacity digital camera memory cards.

Why Compact
Flash Digital Camera Memory?
Four reasons.
1. It's the
most popular Flash Media in the United States.
2. It's built
rugged and durable for continuous usage and handling and it's
about as small as a matchbook.
3. Unlike
other media, Compact Flash can currently
reach above one gigabyte.
4. Price.
Compact Flash is very affordable compared to some other Flash
storage devices.
Why trust your
valuable information to anything less? You need to have
confidence in the product you buy so you can chronicle that
amazing sunset, your child's first steps, or that huge fish you
caught!
Also, Compact
Flash isn't necessarily for images or music storage, it can also
be a factor in the office place. With the increasing omission of
3.5" drives from CPU's by the top manufacturers, Compact Flash
can fill this gap. Coupled with a
PQI USB Reader,
CF can be loaded with that important brief that you need to take
to your meeting. Downloading takes only moments compared to
floppies. Remember that the next time you're late for a meeting.
Why PQI
Compact Flash?
- PQI Compact
Flash Card is made to last. Remember, a warranty is only as good
